Medase (thanks) to Wanjira Maathai, Micere Githae Mugo, Horace G. Campbell and all who brought the free screening of "Taking Root: The Vision of Wangari Maathai" to Syracuse University May 10, 2013. One Black Voice performed a song written in honor of this Nobel Prize-winning heroine from Kenya, and the ongoing work carried out by daughter, Wanjira, and the Green Belt Movement.
