Thanks to everyoNe who stopped by the One Black Voice table at the Westcott Street Cultural Fair. Such a beautiful day was made even more special by people sharing culture, music, friendship and talents.

February 2007, A Chance To Be Seen, Southwest Community Center

Congratulations to Mark Muhammad's "A Chance To Be Seen Variety Show'' on its fifth year of showcasing Central New York talent! It keeps getting better!

The event lived up to its bill by giving so many a chance to be seen and by capturing the collective Black experience through various types of cultural expression. A standing-room only audience showed their support and gave us all -including One Black Voice - a chance to be seen. This year's show, entitled, “Say It Loud! ...” in tribute to James Brown and the Afrikan roots, really did Say It Loud. The event is produced by F.O.R.C.E. (Focusing Our Resources for Community Enlightenment). Thanks again for having One Black Voice. :-)

One Black Voice on TV -- Time Warner Cable (Ch. 98) rebroadcast the C-Jack Run Review performance at The SAMMYs/Taste of Syracuse Main Stage, and the Justice Center's holiday show featuring an appearance by One Black Voice .

2006, Bob Marley Celebration, Community Folk Art Center

A Celebration of the Life of Bob Marley (1945-1981)
Thanks and praises to all those involved with the celebration of the life of Bob Marley at the Community Folk Art Center. One Black Voice paid tribute to the Master Blaster by performing Redemption Song and a special arrangement of Burnin' and Lootin'. Hats off to the entire list of performers, poets and presenters, organizer Dr. Horace Campbell and the Syracuse University Department of African American Studies for bringing us this important event. Most of all thanks to all those who joined in the celebration! May 2006 marks 25 years since this legend's passing.
Other appearances: The Rhythmz television show, Sex in the City showcase, Dunbar Association Dinner/fundraiser (and Power 106 promotion) and the Taste of Syracuse/Syracuse-Area Music Awards (SAMMYs), and the Sherri Washington's Holiday Shows at the Justice Center.
